This poem is my response to the societal bullies who believe they can control and manipulate the strength of a woman's will. Throughout ages, they've deliberately undermined self-confidence. In writing this, I aim to inspire women, and I trust you'll grasp the underlying message.
"Ah, you put some weight?
Why don't you gym?
Oh, your face is beautiful,
But I wish you were slim.
Oh, you got grey hair,
Why don't you colour?
Oh, you got pigmentation,
Why don't you go to parlour?
Are you married or separated?
Is he there or departed?
What's your age?
Why don't you dress sober?
Oh, you look like an aunt,
You should get off social media and only chant,
Oh, look at your wrinkles,
And look at our dimples.
Oh, you look fat and call yourself model?
I can also straddle.
You look old and yet comment on influencers,
You have only 500 followers!
This is how I find bullies every day,
But my answer to them will make up your day.
Stand up for yourself and don't get bullied,
Because bullies know inside they are sullied.
